On fall days when the weather still feels like summer, I enjoy mixing summer and fall pieces together creating a completely unique outfit. Read on to find out a few of my favorite transitional pieces from summer to fall. 

Ankle Boots

To stay cool on a hot fall day I paired this sleeveless summer dress with ankle boots (last seen here). Ankle boots are one of my favorite fall transitional pieces. Not only are they great to wear when the weather dips, but also when it’s still too hot out to wear knee high boots. See similar ankle boots here and here.

Jackets

This jacket does two things that I absolutely love. Not only is it sleeveless for staying cool on a hot day, but I also love the fall appropriate olive green color. This sleeveless motorcycle jacket may seem unnecessary, but I know I can layer it over long sleeve tops later this fall. I found this similar version in black as well as this full sleeved version in hunter green.

Colors

Not only can you incorporate jackets into your outfit, but color as well! Each season brings with it fresh new colors. This fall I’m loving olive green and I’ve been mixing it in with my summer wardrobe now to help me transition smoothly into fall. Other fall colors I’m loving right now include deep red, burgundy, yellow, and brown.

Accessories

Changing up your accessories is easy to do no matter the weather. I updated my purse to this creamy brown (that’s also trending for fall) bucket bag for an easy transition into a fall. I also love this green round bag from Target and this burgundy bag from Forever21.

Plus, I added in a few new jewelry pieces. I love dainty jewelry I can wear everyday and this BLESSED bracelet was only $4 at my local Gordmans! I love now nicely it stacks against this brown leather watch by Dooney and Bourke.
