One of my favorite holiday traditions that I’ve enjoyed since I was a little girl is picking out a new dress for Christmas.

When I found this Express dress (for only $15! Similar here, here, & here)  last month at the grand opening of the new Gordmans location in Lincoln, IL I knew it would be perfect for the holidays. 

Thanks to the frosty cool morning & the sheer sleeves on this dress I decided to layered up in this oversized padded jacket from H&M. It’s as cozy as wrapping yourself up in a large down comforter.

Over The Knee Boots  have been my best friend when it comes to wearing dresses in the winter. Their almost as warm as wearing a pair of pants!

I kept my accessories simple to not takeaway from this pretty dress. There’s already a lot going on with the high neckline, polka dot sleeves, and uneven hemline.

That being said this little black bag is just as pretty as any bracelet and although the shape of these earrings is unique, the solid color keeps them from making too much of a statement.
