Monday, October 1st

We’re still experiencing some nice warm weather so I decided to mix fall pieces with my summer items for a completely unique outfit that can only be worn this time of year. Another way you can mix summer and fall pieces together is by exposing your arms and covering your legs. For example a t-shirt or tank top with jeans or leggings. Friday, October 5th

On Friday after work my husband and I went to Best Buy for a Nintendo Switch for him and to look at updating our camera. I’ve been using the same Cannon Rebel T2i for the past 8 year (since I started my blog) and we finally saved up enough to invest in a new camera. We purchased the Sony DIII mirrorless camera with a 55mm lens. My first blog post with our new camera should go live next week.

Saturday, October 6th

On Saturday we had our youth group over for a Back To The Future marathon. Since a few of the kids had to leave early (after the first movie) we decided to watch video two and three another time and we played video games instead. I kept my outfit comfy with a black long sleeve tee and joggers.

Saturday, October 6th Evening

On Saturday evening after our teens left I attended a birthday party for my 13 yr old niece and 7 yr old nephew. My outfit mostly stayed the same. I exchanged my joggers for this pencil skirt, and I switched out my tassel earring for these gold ones. I also added in this Sam Edelman cross-body bag that can also be worn as a belt bag.

Monday, October 8th

My husband and I went apple picking for the first time and you can read all about it here. That week the weather finally started to drop and feel more like fall. This poncho/blanket wrap felt just as cozy as wearing a blanket and was the perfect thing to keep my arms warm while we walked all over the apple orchard.

Wednesday, October 10th

On Wednesday nights my husband teach the teens at our churches Youth Group. Today was still pretty warm, but I wanted to layer this new cardigan over my overalls anyway. Friday, October 12th

Today we experienced our first snowfall of the season. The snow didn’t last long (it melted quickly), but it gave me a chance to break out my Hunter boots that my husband gifted me last winter for my birthday.

On Tuesday nights I attend a women’s Bible Study at my church. Now that the weather is cooler and it gets darker earlier I like to keep my outfits as cozy and comfortable as possible. Wednesday, October 17th

For youth group this week I wore my new G belt that I purchased off of Amazon here for less than $20. After seeing this belt so many times on Instagram I finally decided to break down and buy it. I chose the black belt with gold buckle, but with all the neutral clothing I wear I may decide to order a brown one too.

Saturday, October 20th

On Saturday my husband and I photographed our first wedding! Thankfully everything went well except the weather didn’t want to corporate. It was so windy that day that when we tried to get pictures outside of the bride & groom the brides dress and veil were blowing all over the place. Thankfully all the photographs we got inside were beautiful!
