Lavender or any shade of purple for that matter is not a color I typically gravitate towards. However, thanks to its rise in popularity over the past few years I’ve found myself becoming more and more drawn to it.

My love of lavender started innocently enough when I swapped out my go to pink nail polish for this one last year. I purchased a pineapple lamp for my office with a purple shade (on the inside that shows through when it’s on, see it on here) this past January. I also picked up these mauve heels for Easter (similar here), and recently I couldn’t resist this lavender sweatshirt (similar here, & here) while shopping at my local T.J.Maxx.
Lavender is such a pretty shade of purple that’s easy on the eyes and perfect for spring. Read on to get my tips on how to style it plus where to buy it below.
Pair It With Gray
Lavender and gray look so pretty together! I chose to pair this sweatshirt (similar here, & here) with this gray purse (similar here, & here) that almost looks lavender itself.
Make It The Pop Of Color In Your Outfit
To ease your way into wearing lavender try pairing it with neutrals to let the piece really shine. Once you feel more confident try wearing it with pink, other pastels, or a head-to-toe purple look.
Wear With Lighter Neutrals
When wearing lavender you can’t go wrong to pair it with neutrals. My favorite neutrals to wear with it include white, cream, camel, brown, and gray. Softer lighter neutrals pair so nicely with lavender making the combination very pleasing to the eye.
Pair It With Any Shade Of Denim
Lavender also looks great when paired with any shade of denim! I decided to wear this top with my favorite pair of overalls (last seen here) for a relax laid back vibe. This top also looks great with white jeans thanks to the white lettering on the front.
Focus On Accessories
If you’re a fan of neutrals and not so sure about this color, try wearing accessories in shades of purple instead. I love these mauve sandals (similar here) that aren’t too far off from my natural skin tone making them easy to wear. I’m also wearing this nail polish that’s just the prettiest shade of purple. Other fun lavender accessories include these sandals, this purse, and these sunglasses.
Are you planning to incorporate this color into your wardrobe this season?

Honestly, I never wear this color, but this post makes me want to run out and get something lavender!
The Dark Plum says
Thanks Jody you are too kind! I never was a fan of wearing any shade of purple either, but it’s definitely been growing on me over the last few years. That lavender nail polish is so subtle I can wear it with anything!
