Deck Decor Makeover Just In Time For Summer

Deck decore makeover

I can hardly believe summer is finally here! And what better way to celebrate than by sharing this inexpensive deck decor makeover that can easily be recreated in your own backyard.

If you’ve followed me on here for any length of time it probably comes as no surprise how much I LOVE shopping at Gordmans! Their clothing & home decor sections are unbeatable thanks to their great prices and wide selection of name brand items. My favorite part (besides the prices!) is never knowing what treasures I might find there. So when Gordmans reached out to partner together on a summer blog post I knew immediately I wanted to decorate this space.

Besides painting our deck every other year, and the outdoor table and chairs we already had, not much has been done out here. Sadly, because of that we don’t spend as much time out here as we would like, but all that’s changed thanks to some home decor items from Gordmans.

Read on to see how I transformed this space, a price break down, and see before & after pictures!

Outfit Details: Pink Rose Top $14, Highway Jeans $17 (last seen here), Lux Earrings $4 Blue Suede Shoes NY Sandals $10 all from Gordmans

Outdoor pillows

Outfit Two Details: Pink Rose Jumpsuit $20 from Gordmans, last seen here

Outdoor Pillows

I knew right away I wanted to add some pillows to our outdoor space. Thankfully, Gordmans has so many cute options to chose from! I decided to grab one of their sets of two outdoor pillows for $20 in the palm print. I also loved all the fruit print options they had like lemons and watermelon.

Our chairs were also desparatedly needing some new outdoor seat cushions. I didn’t realize how worn out ours were, but honestly our seat cushions were never as fluffy to begin with as the ones I found at Gordmans! I decided to go with these pretty light blue ones to match the palm leaf pillows.

Umbrella

Something else this space desperately needed was an umbrella. One of the main reasons we didn’t spend much time out here was the lack of shade. Thankfully Gordmans does carry outdoor umbrellas for just under $40 a piece. This umbrella also has a handy tilt function to direct the shade right where it’s needed.

One gallon beverage dispenser
Kitchen Items

Gordmans has such a great selection of kitchen items that I couldn’t resist picking up a few. I found this large bamboo cutting board for $6 that can easily double as a tray. A beverage dispenser for $10 that’s great for letting guests help themselves. These drinking glasses came in a set of 6 for only $4, and this adorable blue speckled bowl is great for serving snacks was only $5.

Faux Plants

Whether they’re real or not plants really help make a space feel comfortable and cozy. Gordmans has such a great selection of faux plants that I usually can’t help but pick up a few whenever I’m there. These faux white peonies (last seen here), mini succulent, and gold & white planter are so easy to decorate with. I’ve used them all both indoors and out to help make a space look and feel finished. Gordmans also carries a wide selection of decorative pots if you prefer to have real plants instead.

My Mother’s Day started at 4am with a nursing baby My Mother’s Day started at 4am with a nursing baby in my arms, a toddler crawling into my bed and falling asleep on my shoulder, & a doggie sleeping across my legs. 💕 They have no idea what today is, but I’m feeling so blessed to be surrounded by all my babies on Mother’s Day 👶🐶👧 Even if it was at 4am 🥱

Not pictured our dog Sydney. 🐶 I’m so tired I didn’t even notice until after we got these pictures 🤪 I knew I was forgetting something! 🙈
