Since summer is almost here, and the weather is already nice and hot, I prefer to keep my outfits simple by opting for loose fitting clothing like this lightweight chambray dress (last seen here).

Not only do dresses keep me looking polished and pulled together, they also keep me feeling cool and comfortable no matter how hot it gets.

A blue chambray dress like this one is just as easy to accessories as your favorite pair of blue jeans. Dress it up with heels or down with sandals. Add some fun accessories like a statement pair of earrings, or a trio of dainty necklaces. Plus, layer on a scarf or a jacket if it starts to cool down.

If you find yourself like me wondering what the difference is between chambray and denim is I recently learned that while they’re both made of cotton the difference can be found/seen in how the fabrics are weaved together. Chambray is a plain over under weave while denim uses a twill weave which gives it a diagonal pattern. Denim is thicker wile chambray is more lightweight which makes it perfect for spring and summer.
