Finally got my hands on Amy Chaplin’s first ever cookbook! Back in March of 2013 Amy contacted me about making an apron for her to wear while shooting her first cookbook. She chose this white linen apron but with a longer hemline (33″ instead of the 25.5″ I typically make them at) to wear and I have been waiting patiently for her cookbook to come out ever since.
The book itself is huge and filled with tons and tons of gorgeous pictures, most of which showcase food. But what I’m most excited about is that one single image next to the introduction of her wearing one of my Dark Plum creations. She only appears in an apron twice throughout the book and I’m happy to say (true to he word) one of those was mine.
And in case your wondering because of the above photo the exact same day I purchased the book I sprained my wrist. which made photographing these pictures a little difficult. You should be grateful to know it wasn’t the size of the book that did it but an afternoon of fun throwing a kid into a pile of leaves.
