Now that summer’s officially here I’ve been wearing lots and lots of dresses. Dresses are not only simple to throw on and go, but they can be as comfortable as wearing on oversized t-shirt. I recently discovered this plus size maxi dress that’s perfect for summer and less than $22!

Comfort Is Key In Hot Weather
When it comes to comfortable dresses this maxi dress ranks at the top of the list. Its made from 100% cotton and feels so good next to my skin. Honestly, I almost returned it because it does fit larger than I expected. I didn’t realize it at the time but this dress comes in plus sizes only but I’m so glad I decided to keep it anyway. Not only is it comfortable, but I get so many complements on it every time I wear it. This plus size maxi dress also comes in peach, yellow, pink, and green. I fell in love with the blue because it reminds me of my favorite Disney Princess. Can you guess which one?
Cami
Since this dress does fit looser and more low cut than expected I layered a skin toned cami underneath. Keeping a few camis on hand in black, white, and cream are never a bad idea. You never know when you might need one and having a few color options to choose from is handy when trying to complete an outfit.
Button Front Dress
I love button front dresses especially in the summer time. They’re great for changing up the style of the dress by adding a slit. I also like button front dress in the summer for layering over a swimsuit and wearing the dress as a coverup/kimono.
Summer Holidays
Not only is this dress perfect for hot summer days, but I can imagine wearing it for the 4th of July too, or any summer get-together where I want to look a little more put together but still comfortable. Since the 4th of July is this Saturday I can imagine wearing this dress with a red headband and a white pair of sandals or sneakers to complete the look. Thinking Outside Of The Box
This mistake of ordering the wrong size dress is a great reminder that I can find outfits in all different places. I’ve shopped the men’s department before (as well as my husbands closet!), kids section, and even bought larger sizes in the women’s section because I preferred a looser fit. Sometimes it does make things overwhelming with too many options to choose from, but other times you find a gem where you may not have looked before.
