I love looking back on the year and seeing what purchase really made my life better, easier, and what was worth the money. Below you’ll find a list of my most loved purchases of 2022.
1. The Tilly bed from Wayfair
After being married for 14 years, and sharing a queen sized bed with our dog, we finally decided it was time to upgrade to a king sized bed before our baby arrives this spring. The bedroom in our new house (we moved in 1.5 years ago) is large enough to have a king sized bed so now was the perfect time for us to finally upgrade. I’ve had my eye on this linen headboard bed from Wayfair for years now, and when it came time to choose a new bed it was still at the top of my list. I love the comfortable headboard, the natural linen texture, and the cozy wings on each side. It’s such a beautiful bed and if you’re looking to upgrade, it comes in several sizes and colors. We chose the color light cream.
2. Fresh linens and pillows
Since we bought a larger bed we also had to update our linens. We ended up finding everything on Amazon. The boxspring, mattress, mattress topper, sheets, comforter, king pillows, Euro pillows, and Euro shams. I love the final look and everything is so comfortable! Such a cozy spot to relax in at the end of the day. Almost all of these items can be found in several different sizes and colors. Definitely check them out if you need to update your mattress or linens.
3. Engagement Ring & Band
I’ve been wanting to update my engagement ring for some time now since I was never in love with my first ring. To be honest, I wasn’t really sure what I wanted back then, and I didn’t want to spend a lot on a ring until I was sure. I always thought I would update my engagement ring by our 10th anniversary, but there was always something else I would rather put our money towards. It wasn’t until last year that I discover moissanite rings. If you’ve never heard of them you can read all about it on my blog here. Basically they’re tough, will last over a lifetime, they’re a natural stone that’s so rare they’re almost always lab grown, and they cost around one tenth of the price of a diamond but are just as beautiful.
If you’re getting engaged, looking to update your ring, or just like to change out your ring style frequently then definitely check out moissanite rings! I went with a 2 crate oval stone with a pave band in sterling silver. Plus, it has a hidden halo under the 2 crate stone. I also got a round stone eternity band to pair with it. I’ve been wearing both rings daily for the past 5 months and they’ve shown no sign of wear. They still look just as beautiful as the day I bought them. Plus, you can get 15% off at Lane Woods Jewelry with my code: Cassie15. You can also shop Lane Woods Jewelry on Amazon here.
4. Pregnancy Pillow
I bought a pregnancy pillow when I was only 2 months pregnant after the recommendation from my sister. I didn’t think I would use it much until my 3rd trimester, but I actually started using it right away. During my 1st trimester I was so tired I took a naps in it almost daily. This pillow was great to throw on top of the bed and nap in. It also worked great when I was too sick and tired to work at a desk. I just propped this pillow up behind me and it kept me comfortable. Now that I’m in my 2nd trimester (I’m 24 weeks now) I started using it daily to sleep in at night. If you’re pregnant it’s totally worth the money and you’ll use it more than you think.
5. Teeth Whitening Kit
I’ve tried several teeth whitening products over the years and this one by GLO Science hands down has been my favorite! Every other teeth whitening product I’ve tried has caused my teeth to be sensitive, but not this product! I also love how quick and convenient it is to use. The kit comes with way more product than you need, so you can keep your smile white with monthly or yearly touch ups. You can watch me using it here.
6. Chelsea Boots
I’ve been wanting a pair of waterproof boots that are not knee high. I wanted something that was easy to slip on and go on rainy/snowy days. I decided on thees Chelsea boots I from Amazon. Not only are they trendy, but they’re comfortable, fit true to size, come in lots of colors (I bought the nude), and are less than $50! I like them so much I’ll probably get a second pair in black.
7. High Waisted Sweater Joggers
If you love leggings then you have to try sweater joggers! They’re super comfy for sure, and they look so cute paired with sweaters. These joggers make the perfect cozy casual outfit. They’re great for travel, lounging around the house, or wear them out and about. They also can be dressed up or down. Set fits true to size, but the stretch waist band has been perfect for my growing belly.
8. Linen Paperbag Shorts
These linen shorts quickly became my favorite pair to wear. I love the soft breathable fabric, the adorable stretchy paperbag waistline, and they are so flattering! Because of the linen fabric they also work great as a swimsuit coverup. The shorts fit true to size and thankfully because of their stretchy waistband I have been able to wear them even with a 19 week pregnancy bump on our baby moon.
9. Quilted Vegan Leather Sandals
I found these sandals on Amazon and they are the most comfortable sandals ever! I love the trendy chunky sandal look and these sandals with the quilted straps feel like your walking on clouds. They look cute dressed up or down. Shoes fit true to size. I went with my normal size 7.
10. Donut Dog/Cat Bed
Even though my dog is 13 years old he’s never had a dog bed. He prefers to sit in my lap, or on the floor on top of a blanket. I decided to give this pet bed a try because it’s becoming more and more uncomfortable sharing my desk chair with him. Thankfully he loves the bed especially when I added a blanket to it. That way he can really snuggle in there under and around the blanket. Bed comes in several colors and sizes. I bought the size small for my 20lb dog in the color Lux Oyster. Plus, his bed looks so cute in my office too.
