How To Style Jean Joggers This Winter

jean joggers

Joggers have gotten popular over the last few years but styling them can be tricky. Today I waned to share my new found love for jean joggers and how to style them.

Outfit Details: Madewell Top (similar here), Express Jeans, Target Booties (similar here), BCBG Purse (similar here, last seen here)

Thanks to the athleisure trend joggers are no longer reserved for running. Joggers are now appropriate to wear just about anywhere from relaxing at home, to running errands, to even work. Recently I came across these jean joggers and I couldn’t wait to style them.

High Waisted

For a flattering silhouette choose a pair of jean joggers with a high waist. The high waist will elongate your legs and keep the jean joggers from looking frumpy. I just love the paper bag waist detail on these jeans!

Pair Them With Basics

You can’t go wrong wearing basic pieces with jogger jeans. I paired mine with a black long sleeve tee (similar here) and black ankle boots (similar here).

Balance Them Out With Fitted Pieces

Since jean joggers are a little baggier than your typical pair of skinny or straight leg jeans try pairing them with a fitted top to balance them out. I chose a fitted long sleeve tee, but a fitted tank top or t-shirt would would work well too. On cooler days try wearing them with a slim fitting cardigan, sweater, or blouse.

Dress Them Up With Heels

I love balancing out the masculine vibe of these baggage jean joggers with a pair of skinny healed ankle booties. Chunky heeled ankle boots and wedges although I love them just didn’t have the same effect. These jeans would also look great paired with skinny heeled sandals come spring.

Dress Them Down With Sneakers

Besides looking amazing with heels these jean joggers also look amazing when dressed down with a pair of sneakers. Wear them with a basic white sweater and white sneakers for a classic laid back look.

Accessorize

Don’t forget to accessorize! High waisted jeans look great when paired with a belt. Try wearing a classic belt like my favorite Gucci one or a similar inexpensive one like this. Since my outfit consists of mostly black I decided to add in a pop of color with this red purse similar here. The short strap on this mini bag made it perfect to wear under my arm and not hide any of the cute paper bag waist detail on these jeans. Also I can never resist a little red or pink in my outfit during the month of February!

My Mother’s Day started at 4am with a nursing baby My Mother’s Day started at 4am with a nursing baby in my arms, a toddler crawling into my bed and falling asleep on my shoulder, & a doggie sleeping across my legs. 💕 They have no idea what today is, but I’m feeling so blessed to be surrounded by all my babies on Mother’s Day 👶🐶👧 Even if it was at 4am 🥱

Not pictured our dog Sydney. 🐶 I’m so tired I didn’t even notice until after we got these pictures 🤪 I knew I was forgetting something! 🙈

So thankful my SIL @thedivinemissem77 answered her phone and came quickly to stay with Audrey & my hubby @npbrady9 taking care of everything else as we rushed to the hospital. ♥️ God is so good & we couldn’t be happier with the newest member of our family 🤗
