If last year taught me anything, it’s that focusing on one goal at a time is extremely effective. The power of focus! Read on to hear what my goals are for the new year and how I plan to implement the power of focus to accomplish them.

Last Year’s Goal
In 2019 one of my main goals was to drink enough water daily based on my weight. If you’re curious to know how much water you should be drinking daily just drink 1/2oz to 1oz of water for each pound you weigh. For example if you weigh 100lb you should drink around 50 oz to 100 oz of water daily.
This Year’s Goal
Now that drinking enough water has become a daily habit of mine I want to focus on getting enough exercise. My goal for 2020 is to exercise at least 3 days a week. I’ve gotten better at making time for exercise, but this year I’m determined to make it my main focus. I want it to become a habit for my life from this point forward.
How To Form Good Habits
It takes around 66 days (slightly longer than 2 months) for a new habit to form. Once 66 days have passed, and I feel like exercising has become apart of my weekly routine I’ll start implementing a new goal with that same power of focus.
Other Goals/Routines I Plan To Implement Later This Year
Read more. It’s been so long since I’ve read a book besides while on vacation! I would like to make reading a daily habit to end my day with. Plan out my blog/social media in advance. Thanks to this handy planner (get 15% off by using my code: darkplum) I now have a place to store all my ideas for future posts. If my months were pre planned I would have more free time to read, exercise, and say yes more. And going off that last point I would like to say yes to more opportunities. It can be scary to put yourself out there and I’ve found myself saying no more and more. From projects around the house (I’ve been saying yes to that a lot recently!) to opportuneness to advance my career. If I said yes more instead of “no” or “maybe later” I’m sure I would accomplish more in a year. For Example it took me 4 years to finally choose window covering for our house! I can be paralyzed by perfectionism. This year I want to do more even when I know things won’t be perfect because honestly they never will.
I wish you all the best in the new year! Xo Cassie
