I’ve always been drawn to what we Americans call French-girl style. I feel like it lines up naturally with my love of solids, neutrals, and my desire to always look effortlessly chic.
Not too long ago I saw someone sporting a beret on Instagram and I knew immediately I had to have one. Although I’ve only worn my new beret twice so far I’ve loved paring this black beret with black, brown, and denim pieces.
To me some of the keys to dressing like a french girl are wearing clothing your comfortable in, wearing classic pieces (jeans, sweaters, blazers, etc), in classic colors/prints (neutrals, blues, solid, striped), and mixing higher end pieces with less expensive ones.
