When temperatures begin to drop it’s a great time to start adding in some extra layers. Not only do layers help when transition from the cold outdoors to toasty warm buildings, but they also add some interest and dimension to any basic look. Below I’m sharing a few of my favorite layering tips to stay warm and fashionable this fall/winter.
One of my favorite ways to layer is by adding in a scarf. The way I tie a scarf around my neck, or the style of scarf I choose always changes from year to year, but scarves continue to be a favorite accessory of mine. They’re a perfect way to add some extra style and warmth during the cooler months.
Currently I prefer scarves in solid neutral colors or plaids with tassels on the ends like this, this and this. My favorite way to wear scarves this season is looped once or draped behind the neck.
Blazers are another great layering piece. They’re not just for wearing over tank tops, t-shirts, or blouses, but can be layered over sweaters too! When the temperatures drop I stay nice and toasty with a blazer layered over a sweater.
